SEEING THE VISION

Designing for
real-world mobility

The project began with the goal of creating a compact electric skateboard capable of reliable speed control, safe braking, and practical everyday use

The main challenge was combining mechanical design, electronics, motor control, and power management into a single system

OBJECTIVE

Build a functional electric skateboard with responsive control and integrated safety features

Electric skateboard prototype
Electric skateboard CAD design

02

FORMING A PLAN

From concept
to system

The design phase focused on integrating the drivetrain, battery, embedded controller, and mechanical structure

CAD was used to plan component placement while the electrical architecture was designed around reliable control and maintainability

Custom mechanical layout
Embedded motor control
Battery management
Wireless remote interface

03

MAKING IT HAPPEN

Building,
testing, refining

The prototype was assembled and tested through multiple iterations to evaluate acceleration, braking response, stability, and electrical reliability

Testing exposed several integration challenges that required changes to both hardware and firmware

Electric skateboard internal electronics
Electronic Controller

04

THE OUTCOME

A complete
working system

The final prototype successfully combined embedded control, mechanical design, power electronics, and system integration into a functioning electric skateboard

WHAT I LEARNED

System integration, firmware development, iterative prototyping, and practical troubleshooting
